The Gals

The Gals

This past Friday was the MAD graduation. If you are a new follower to my blog I am apart of an academy called MAD which is short for “Multimedia Arts Design Academy.” With only 4 days left of school MAD decided to do the senior graduation Friday night starting at 5 pm. I attended the ceremony with my friends Julia and Sam and sadly we were about 25 minutes late so we missed about half of the senior videos. From the videos I saw it was a beautiful and perfect way to end their 3 year experience here in MAD and to say thank you to all of their teachers and mentors that have helped them out along the way. After the graduation we had a showcase for the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior class projecting our works and projects in all different rooms around MAD to show our parents what we have been doing this whole entire year. It was so interesting to walk around and explore all the different works from the students and see their photography, adobe, and editing skills projected. As the school year has gone by I have realized that I am very lucky to be apart of a wonderful academy and thankful for all the amazing people I have met along the way. Cheers to two more years in MAD and congratulations to all the Seniors who graduated from MAD on Friday and who will be graduating from Santa Barbara High School this Thursday night. Good luck out their in the real world and thank you for being great mentors to us lower clansmen.

Sup bloggers! After a long weekend I’m back and ready to blog. This past weekend was Memorial weekend as we all know. Thank you to all of you for risking your lives to make this country a better country. We all love and miss you dearly.

This past weekend was beautiful here in Santa Barbara and of course I took advantage of that and went to the beach every single day I could. On Saturday my good friend Mali and I headed down to our little spot. (Hope Ranch Beach) HR is a very exclusive beach and you need a gate key in order to go in. The reason I love this beach so much is that it is so clean and not crowded at all! You have the whole beach and water to yourself which is amazing! No silly tourists! I thought that I would bring out my fish board to have a little fun in the water. Why not right?! It was a great little day of waves and fun to mess around on board and get a great exercise while having fun.

Comment below and tell me what you did this Memorial weekend!

MAD vs VADA

MAD vs VADA

Ayyooo fellow bloggers. This past weekend was quite a good weekend for me. On Friday night was Neon Night at Casa de la Raza. I must say I’ve been waiting for this night for a month now and couldn’t wait till it was here.  Of course I went to the dance with my home girl Anna and we partied hard 😉 I will admit that I am a sucker for dances and I love to go crazy at them with my dance moves. I mean it is the perfect place to just go crazy and no one will judge you there. They enjoy people who dance. Might as well make the best of the night am I right? I love when there a school gatherings on the weekend because its the one time I can hang out with all the people I am too afraid to ask to hang out on a regular weekend or just never talk to at school and will end up talking to them for hours at these functions. Perfect place to make friends 🙂 That’s what I do! So go out a try it bloggers 😉 See you on the flip side.

The Fairy Dust

Ello bloggers! Happy Tuesday to you all. This past weekend my very dear friend Anna and I decided to go to the Santa Barbara Fair and Expo. Every year I tell myself that I will not go because every year I do not have fun and I believe it is a waste of money. So of course, I didnt listen to myself and I went anyways. We went to the fair knowing it was just us two all night. And we were completely okay with that! We love the presence of one other and didnt mind at all. Were like two peas in a pod 😉 (line stolen from Anna) The first ride we headed for was the ferris wheel. We decided that we had to get a picture of our view before it was too late. We went on just as the sun was going down and watched as the sky got darker and darker. The photo to the left is a photo I took when we were stopped on the very tippy top of the ferris wheel. I thought a picture of the whole fair would be beautiful and I was right! After getting off of the ferris wheel we ran into a few younger friends of ours and hung out with them for a little. After about an hour of being at the fair we got over it and just left and did some way funnier things 😉 But hey, I have no complaints about that night what so ever.

Cheers To Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Finally that time of the week that most teenagers have been wishing for. Time for us to get to stay up late and sleep in. To meet new friends and make new memories. Cheers to that! Although I love school and love seeing all my friends everyday, I’m thankful that Friday is here. Time for me to have a break from all the learning and have fun times with the people I love.

Sadly this weekend not much is going on for me, but on the bright side it’s a good opportunity for me to catch up on my sleep and just relax and be already for school on Monday. Since the weather this week hasn’t been the best this weekend is not a good weekend for the beach. Which is what I was looking forward to the most.

Cheers to the weekend and all the new memories we will make! Comment below and let me know what your plans are the for weekend! I’d love to hear.

Don’s House

photo

It’s that time of the year again, boys volleyball! One of my favorite sports at Santa Barbara High School. Although football games and girls volleyball games are fun to go to, boys volleyball is the one for me. I love how intense they get and how much power they have on the ball. Don’t get me wrong, the girls volleyball team at our high school is amazing!!

Tuesday was the first game of the season for the Dons boys volleyball team. They played against Camarillo High School and destroyed them. As well as freshman and JV. Good job boys! Tonight we play against one of the best boys volleyball team, Mira Costa High School from Manhattan Beach. If you’re in the area come down to SBHS and watch the game! We need all the supporters we can get!

I wish you boys the best of luck tonight, freshman, JV, and Varsity. Show Mira Costa whose house it is!!

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone! Aloha Friday.

Inspirational Work Out and Hike

It’s that time of the week! Workout Wednesday 🙂 It’s half way through the weekend and we are all waiting for the weekend! This weekend in Santa Barbara is supposed to be full of sun and for me the beach! Although since it is Santa Barbara the weather can completely change on us. To get ready for the weekend and spring break, you want those sexy legs to rock in shorts and sundresses.

This exercise is one of my favorites for my legs. I get all my inspiration from an instagram account I follow, click here. Behind the inspirational account is Karena and Casey. Two beautiful girls from Malibu, Ca. They post daily pictures of exercises  their food, cute bathing suits, and inspirational bodies.

To get ready for the weekend and spring break try this excercise!

  1. start off with 20 squats.
  2. then move on to 30 lunges.
  3. next do 40 calf raises.
  4. then make your way to 50 second wall squats.
  5. then do 100 jumping jacks.
  6. then repeat doing 50 second wall squats.
  7. next do 40 sumo squats.
  8. then 30 leg raises.
  9. lastly do 20 squats.

This workout should take a total of 15 minutes. It’s a great workout to do at your house in your room, or at the gym! Whatever is easier for you! After the first week you should start noticing your legs getting stronger and your core hurting a tad. I promise you it will feel great after your body gets use to the idea.

daily run:

photo

Sorry I haven’t been posting my daily runs! I’ve been really busy and haven’t been taking the prettiest runs that are worthy of photos. The past week my mom and I have been doing after school hikes. For the past 3 days we have chosen s Inspirational Point hike. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend this hike! It’s a beautiful hike in the mountains of Santa Barbara. Click here for directions. Happy Wednesday everyone!! Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂

Aloha Friday part 2

Aloha Friday everyone!! It’s that time of the week again. Positive attitudes, happy faces, good moods, all because its the weekend. After a short week of school I’m still glad its the weekend. Who wants to be stuck in a building for 6 hours. Defiantly not me.

Last night one of my best friends, Mali called me and asked what I was doing for Spring Break. Originally I was supposed to go to New York, but my plans got canceled sadly. So my response was “Nothing, how about you?” With excitement she asked really fast, “WILL YOU GO TO KAUAI WITH ME?!” Of course my response was yes. Who would turn down Hawaii! I ran to my parents room and begged if I could go. Lucky me, they said yes 🙂 I purchased my ticket last night and couldn’t stop smiling and dancing around. I can’t wait to be in the beautiful blue ocean with the sun kissing my skin. Finally that tan will come back of me 😉

The photo above is a photo taken by my friend Sammy who was in Kauai about a month ago. I just love the photo and couldnt help but use it. Now with all of this excitement in me, I just want it to be spring break already! 1 month to go! Comment below and tell me where you’re going for the break!

The Perfect Outfit

Although winter is coming to the end, in Santa Barbara its still a little chilly every now and then. One thing about Santa Barbara that you can never predict is the weather. One day it will be clear, blue skies and 80 degrees, then the next day it will be pouring rain. You never know what you’re dealing with here. I’m a huge fan of comfort and if I’m not comfortable you won’t hear the end of me. Every time I pick out my outfit for school or for the weekend I always make sure I’ll be comfortable before I leave the house. I love lulu lemon leggings and I always wear them when my jeans are dirty or if I want a comfort day. They are the perfect pants to wear with boots or even to work out in!

I have another blog on the website “Tumblr” and I follow many fashion blogs. I love to see how different people put together an outfit and I love to get new ideas for myself. One of my favorite blogs is here. I love how she puts together outfits and gives you the website where you can find the whole outfit. The image above is one of her most recent outfits and I love it! It’s perfect for the weather right now and the season.

  • Blue Denim and Cotton Jacket can be purchased here.
  • Brandy Melville Kayla Knit Sweater can be purchased here.
  • Dickies Relaxed Fit Jeans Washed 13291 can be purchased here.
  • Leather Satchel Backpack can be purchased here.
  • Theory: Yvanka Combat Boot can be purchased here.

Sunday Fun Day

photo-4 Every weekend has to end with a perfect Sunday or other wise it’s just a waste of a day. This weekend was quite interesting, but at the end of the day I couldn’t have asked for a better one! I ended up spending my weekend in Santa Barbara with my best friend from Malibu instead of the other way around. At least I got a cool train ride out of it!

Lately I’ve been craving for summer and I’ve been trying to replicate it! Although it’s winter that’s not stopping me.  Today I decided to ride my bike down to the beach and meet my two best friends Mali and Noa there. It felt good just to have my  toes buried in the sand. We sat there admiring the beautiful ocean in front of our eyes while talking about our weekends. Sharing stories and laughing about what  had happened. Although its winter doesn’t mean you can’t take advantage of the ocean and the beach around you. Can’t wait for next weekend to spend all my time at the beach and with friends! Comment below and share what you did this weekend. I’d love to hear.
