Morning there. I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging about work outs lately  I just haven’t had time to go to the gym and try new ones. But over the weekend I came across this work out and tried it in my room and it’s a great work out! You don’t even need a gym 😉

  1. First start off with an environment that you feel comfortable with and have plenty of space.
  2. Then start with 30 seconds worth of bench jumps.
  3. Move on to a 1 min plank.
  4. Then do 30 seconds of side squats on bosu.
  5. After do a 1 min side plank (left & right)
  6. Now 30 sec sprints.
  7. Now to 1 min sit ups.
  8. Lastly rest.
  9. Now repeat 😉

I promise you this will not disappoint you!! Enjoy and comment below and tell me how you liked it!!

Dons for the Win

boys varsity volleyball after their win!

boys varsity volleyball after their win!

Good evening bloggers! Tonight was a big night for the Santa Barbara Dons Boys Varsity Volleyball team. They had their semi finals game against Foothill high school. Sadly this game was the last home game for the Dons win or no win so it was very important for the students of SBHS to come out a support. This season has been a great season and the boys seem to never disappoint the high school. Tonight the boys won and are now off the the CIF finals!! Super exciting! This year’s team consists of 9 seniors and each one of them seem to always bring their all to the games. Channing Peake, Ryan Worley, Joe Rafferty, and Tristan Fauntleroy seem to always bring their A game and surely did not disappoint tonight at the game. Tristan is known for his unbelievable smack downs and Joe is known for being speedy and always there in time of need. The images to the left are of the team after their win running through a tunnel formed by this years seniors apart of the “Scream Team.” The other photos is a photo of Carl Mendoza and Hart Pitcher, both seniors, front page of the Sports section for the Santa Barbara News Press. Good job tonight boys and now off to the CIF finals this Saturday in Orange County. Do SBHS proud!

That time of the week again, oh yeah! Lately I have no been as active and motivated as I was earlier this year, but I’m getting back. Summer is just around the corner and I need to be bikini ready 😉 Of course I was checking my instagram news feed and friends of mine I follow (@teatannedandtoned) posting their daily photo. Two weeks ago this was one of their daily posts and I screenshotted it and decided to try it out myself at home. I loved the work out and loved the way I felt after it. I highly encourage for you to try it when you get home. The best part is you don’t need a gym. Your living room or bedroom is your gym. Im sure you can take 30 minutes out of your night to lay down and get active and physical. Once you start, you wont be able to quit.

A Legend

Hart Pitcher

The Homie Hart Pitcher

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope your week is going great so far! This Wednesday is going to be a little different. Instead of blogging about a new work out routine I decided to blog about an Athlete of the Week. I myself am a huge sports fan and love all sports! Especially high school sports. One of my favorite sports to watch is in mid season right now at SBHS. Hart Pitcher #24 senior of the Boys Varsity Volleyball team is Athlete of the Week in my books. Last night was Senior Night at our last home game for this volleyball season and our boys dominated Buena High School. A high school located in Ventura, Ca. Throughout the season Hart has shown and proven to us that he is a davoted player and is never a disappointment. He is always a positive impact on the team and a great role model for the juniors and sophomores on the team. Sadly Hart will be leaving us soon in just a few short months for college. He will be dearly missed by the Don’s family and his teammates. I wish you the best of luck in college and the real world Hart and know you will do big things. Congratulations on this great season!

Real Beauty

Sadly now a days society holds a high standard of what we should look like, be like, and act like. Unfortunately many people follow these guidelines and sometimes even harm themselves in order to keep up with the standards. I am a strong believer in being whoever I want and I don’t listen to anyone or copy “society” to be that. I believe that we should be whoever our heart desires to be and we shouldn’t have society tell us what “beauty” is. We are all born beautiful in our own way. Society today ruins many people and a lot of people harm themselves to be “thin” or to have the “perfect body.” They do not understand that their body is beautiful just the way it is. The other day I came across this image on my news feed and fell in love. It couldn’t be more right. Stop caring about your appearance and just care about your health and soon your appearance will be gorgeous. But remember you were born beautiful in your own way and no one can tell you differently!

Inspiration Point

Happy Wednesday everyone! Only 3 days till the weekend and Spring Break for me! The vacation I’ve been waiting for all year. Although I love winter and being on break for 2 weeks, Spring Break is by far my favorite. It feels like summer and reminds me of all the good times I will have in just a short few months. Since Spring Break is around the corner and I’ll be spending my week in Kauai I’ve been working out as much as I can. They don’t call it bathing suit season for nothing 😉

A few days ago my mum and I took our weekly hike at Inspiration Point like we always do. It was a beautiful clear day with bright blue skies and not a single cloud in the sky. I couldn’t help but capture the beauty on my phone. I know I always talk about Inspiration Point on here, but it is by far my favorite hike in Santa Barbara. Its close to my mum’s house and is a great view of Santa Barbara. If you are ever in SB I highly recommend you checking it out. Click here for directions.

Tip Of The Week

Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s that time of the week again. Time to get ready and in shape for spring break. Only 2 weeks away for my school. So excited!! Lately I’ve been working out like crazy trying to get myself back in shape for Kauai. From hiking to aerobics, I’m doing possibly everything I can. Sadly I’m not a member at any gym so I have to make the best of what I have to do my workouts. Lately I’ve been doing them in my room and on the beach. Perfect place for me. I love to watch the ocean while I’m working out.

The image above is from an instagram I follow and get all my inspiration from. Instead of posting a work out this week I’m giving you a little tip 😉 The next time you do cardio feel your stomach and if it’s cold then that means you are working hard and your stomach is starting to burn fat! Good for you!! Motivate yourself and try new exercises every day.

Have a great rest of your day!

Inspirational Work Out and Hike

It’s that time of the week! Workout Wednesday 🙂 It’s half way through the weekend and we are all waiting for the weekend! This weekend in Santa Barbara is supposed to be full of sun and for me the beach! Although since it is Santa Barbara the weather can completely change on us. To get ready for the weekend and spring break, you want those sexy legs to rock in shorts and sundresses.

This exercise is one of my favorites for my legs. I get all my inspiration from an instagram account I follow, click here. Behind the inspirational account is Karena and Casey. Two beautiful girls from Malibu, Ca. They post daily pictures of exercises  their food, cute bathing suits, and inspirational bodies.

To get ready for the weekend and spring break try this excercise!

  1. start off with 20 squats.
  2. then move on to 30 lunges.
  3. next do 40 calf raises.
  4. then make your way to 50 second wall squats.
  5. then do 100 jumping jacks.
  6. then repeat doing 50 second wall squats.
  7. next do 40 sumo squats.
  8. then 30 leg raises.
  9. lastly do 20 squats.

This workout should take a total of 15 minutes. It’s a great workout to do at your house in your room, or at the gym! Whatever is easier for you! After the first week you should start noticing your legs getting stronger and your core hurting a tad. I promise you it will feel great after your body gets use to the idea.

daily run:

Sorry I haven’t been posting my daily runs! I’ve been really busy and haven’t been taking the prettiest runs that are worthy of photos. The past week my mom and I have been doing after school hikes. For the past 3 days we have chosen s Inspirational Point hike. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend this hike! It’s a beautiful hike in the mountains of Santa Barbara. Click here for directions. Happy Wednesday everyone!! Enjoy the rest of your week 🙂

Get That Rockin Body

I’m going to start something new! Every Wednesday I will post a new work out for you to try. Other wise known as “work out Wednesday.” That way it will stay more organized and there is a specific day for what you are looking for.

This is one of my favorite work outs. It’s super easy and you can do it anywhere! I recommend you to push yourself, but if you can’t and want to start off slow take this work out and cut it in half. Then when you feel more comfortable take it up a notch and do what you’re comfortable with.

  • Start off with a 30 minute run (if you are taking it easy do 15 minutes)
  • Then move onto 3 sets of 10 lunge jumps (2 sets if your taking it easy)
  • Next do 3 sets of 15 side leg lifts *each side* (2 sets of 10 if your taking it easy)
  • Then do 3 sets of 20 back leg lifts *each side* (2 sets of 10 if your taking it easy) (if you want to push yourself put a free weight behind your knee and lift up)
  • Next do 3 sets of 30 side crunches *each side* (2 sets of 20 if your taking it easy)
  • Lastly do a minute and 15 second plank (45 seconds if your taking it easy)

Comment below and tell me some workouts that you enjoy. Have a good Wednesday and stay fit!!

xoxo Taylor
