Poipu

photo-10Good Afternoon everyone!! Although its Spring Break I still want to blog and keep you all updated of how I am spending my Spring Break. Yesterday since it was pouring in the city we are staying in, Lihue, we decided to go somewhere on the island where the sun was shining. We jumped in our rental car and drove about 25 mins south to a city called Poipu and went to the beach there. It was sunny and beautiful. The water was crystal clear and the brightest blue I have ever seen. Sadly the week we come to Kauai it has a rain storm so we are trying our best to avoid and visit other cities on the island that are sunny.

Poipu was beautiful and we had our own little cove on the beach just for us. We brought speakers and played our favorite bands and zoned out to the sound of music, the sun kissing our bodies, and the salt particles in our hair. Couldnt have asked for a better way to spend my day!!

ALOHA

photo-6

Aloha Monday everyone! For many of us its Spring Break. My favorite time of the year. Lucky me, I’m spending my week in Kauai with my best friend Mali and her father. I am so grateful to be apart of their family vacation and being able to leave Santa Barbara for a week to get a break. Lately I’ve had too much on my mind and I’m happy to be able to escape for a week.

After a long day of traveling today we were still able to make it in time to have a jump in the ocean and enjoy the pool area. I must say the ocean temperature is heaven compared to Santa Barbara’s water. Water crystal clear and warm. Can’t get much better then that. Having the salt stick to my skin, salt in my hair, and salt water burn my eyes from cleaning them I couldnt be happier.

xoxo Taylor.

Today is a sad and happy moment for the MAD Academy. Today will be the last day in our location. We are very lucky to be moving into a brand new beautiful building on the other side of campus by the English building. Although we are all excited to be moving into a new and bigger building we will all miss this location very much. Over the years many memories have been made in this building and we surely won’t forget them. Since MAD is expanding every year with more and more students we had to upgrade to a bigger size building. The bright side to the new building is we have 10x more space for all the activities we need to do and for all the students that are in the academy. The only down side to the new building is its all the way on the other side of campus and all my classes are 10 seconds away from the old location. No more passing period snack time for me. I guess I can replace my every period snack time with the work out I’ll be getting by trekking up that hill to the new academy.

This building is one of a kind and will be dearly missed, but it’s time to make new memories in a new building. Thank you so much for all the memories you have given me MAD Academy and I’m ready to make new ones in the new building.
