You’ve Got the Love

Ayoo bloggers! Hope your Monday went by fast and good! Glad this week is moving fast. At least for me it is. Since yesterday I didnt blog about music, I will today 🙂 Over this weekend I sadly didn’t get much time to explore with music, but! I was looking through my music library and found this song and completely forgot about it! This song is a great remix by XX who is one of my favorite bands. They make any song just amazing 😉 This song is a remix/cover of the song “You’ve Got the Love” by Florence And The Machine. I love how upbeat and mellow this song is and always puts me in a great mood. Great choice to listen to before getting ready for school or a party! Puts you in a great mood! Take a chance with it please 😉

City and Colour

Good morning bloggers. Sorry I haven’t been blogging lately. I have been extremely busy with school and getting ready for the finals. In my MAD class we are creating our own websites for a awareness and that has been taking up all my blogging time. SO, my apologies! But for this weeks music I’ll be writing about my favorite band at the moment, City and Colour. City and Colour started their music journey in 2004 in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada and have been striving ever since. City and Colour is the recording alias for Canadian singer/song writer Dallas Green. They are currently signed to: Dine Alone, Vagrant, Arts & Crafts Mexico. She Wants to go to the Seaside

 Morning bloggers! Hope your weekend was filled with new memories and great times. Mine was 😉 This past Sunday my friend Anna surprised me at my house with her rack shack and told me we were going on a beach walk. At first I was a little confused on the idea since it was freezing and super windy down at the beach, but hey good way to exercise and to get out of the house. We both decided to head down to Montecito to Butterfly Beach. The beach was gorgeous with the wind hitting the water creating choppy waves, and big grey clouds surrounding the sky. It was a beautiful sight. We walked up and down the beach and found a little tiny cave that we decided would be a great place to take a picture. The minute I saw this picture it reminded me of one of my favorite songs, Seaside by The Kooks. I love the mellow and beautiful vibe the song has and it always puts me in a relaxing mood. The Kooks have some amazing songs and I highly recommend for you to check out their music if you haven’t already! Never a disappointment. Have a great rest of your Monday!

Boat Remix

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is ready for a new week, aka new start! This weekend I discovered more music and came across this song by Zoe Phillips. I love it! Very calming, upbeat, and head bobbing. I personally am a huge fan of listening to music everyone morning while I am getting ready for school to pump me up and put me in a delightful mood for the rest of the day! This morning I listened to this song while getting ready and I couldn’t help but keep replaying it. It gets me in a great, exciting, and happy mood. Ready to conquer dreadful school and be happy while doing it. I highly encourage you to go out to all different music websites when you have free time and expand your knowledge on music and be very open to listening and discovering new music. I promise you, you won’t be sorry!

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday to you all. A brand new week to discover new music 😉 A few months back a friend of mine showed me 8tracks and I fell in love. If you didn’t already know I am a huge music lover and I love to discover new music and bands all the time! 8tracks is a wonderful website to discover new songs and bands! If you are familiar with the music website Pandora then 8tracks is right up your alley! 8tracks works by playlists. You can choose from a list of random words/moods or you can type in your own. You choose 2 words/moods then it will create playlists that go along with it and you can choose what interests you the most. It’s a great way to find out about new songs and bands!! Time To Rage

This previous weekend was the first weekend of Coachella. I know I know I’ve been blogging a lot about Coachella, but what can I say. I was super excited about this music festival. As you may have read before, I grew up in La Quinta where the concert is taken place so I have many old friends that I couldn’t wait to meet up with at the festival to hang out with. I arrived to the desert Thursday night to beat the horrible traffic Friday. For the weekend I stayed at a family friends house who has a son my age. We’ve been biffles since diapers. Love that kid! Anyways! We all headed over to Coachella together and I met up with my best friend Madi and our friend Ellery from Malibu. We met up with some of our Palm Springs friends and just had a great time! As the weekend went on I saw more and more people who I havent seen in years and I was so excited to see them. Most of them being my brothers friends who are in college that I grew up with! Miss those guys! This years Coachella was an amazing time and experience and I wouldnt change one thing about it. I cannot wait to go next year and I’m already counting down the days 😉

Heart Skipped A Beat

Hello fellow bloggers! I’m back and ready to blog like crazy! This past weekend was Coachella as many of you know and I saw some amazing bands!! One band that really shocked me and caught my attention was The xx. I have loved their music for a while now and couldn’t wait to see them at Coachella. My friend Kanin and I were about 40 feet away from the stage off to the right. Amazing view! I was in shock to hear how amazing they were live. Way better then a studio recording forsure. After raging all day in the Sahara tent with techno music, The xx hit the spot with their mellow, yet still upbeat vibe. If you haven’t listened to The xx yet I highly highly recommend it! Two Days

I promise I’ll be done soon! Last week my brother and I received our Coachella tickets and we couldn’t have a bigger smile on our faces. After years of growing up and watching my brothers go to Coachella this year is finally my year to go and party with them. Sadly we didn’t get our tickets on the website like everyone else. We bought them through a private seller on Craigslist. Personally I think that is the way to go. After trekking all the way to Isla Vista we met the seller and paid for the tickets and walked away. My brother was so excited that he made us sit in the car for 10 minutes in silent as he stared at the tickets and called all of his friends to let them know that he is for sure going. Although he has gone for the past 7 years. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the excitement in his eyes and how happy he still gets for Coachella every year. I leave Thursday night for the music festival. It starts Friday morning at 11:00 am. Gotta get my good night worth of sleep for raging all day and night!!

Say My Name

For as long as I could remember I’ve been in love with the song, “Say My Name” by Destiny Child. The other day when I was in Hawaii I was on my soundcloud and this remix showed up on my news feed and I feel in love. It’s a perfect remix with the combination of Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake. Although on this blog I post upbeat remixes, this one is very mellow and relaxing to listen to. Since I have discovered it I haven’t stopped listening to it.

The Neighbourhood made a wonderful cover of this song! The Neighbourhood is a band that was formed in Norman, Oklahoma in 2004. They are yet still unsigned. The band is made up with the following memebers: Matt Duckworth, Eric Mai, and Philip Rice. If you are into the band XX I highly recommend this band for you!! 9 Days To Go

It’s almost that time. 9 days to go! Sadly recently in the past year they have divided Coachella up into two weekends because it has gotten so popular and crowded that they wanted to give an opportunity to more people to attend. I personally dislike the idea and think it is very dumb. I grew up a street away from where Coachella is (Indio Polo Grounds). Every year I watched my two older brothers and their friends drive our golf cart over to Coachella and have the time of their lives. We host a “pre-Coachella Party” at our house the Friday Coachella starts.

Thankfully this year I am finally allowed to attend and I couldn’t be more excited or happy! After all the years of watching my brothers and all of their friends go in and out of the house it’s my year to experience what they have experienced for years. The video above is a video taken of the Coachella in 2010. I love this video and I couldn’t be more excited to go after watching this video. Enjoy!!
