This past Friday was the MAD graduation. If you are a new follower to my blog I am apart of an academy called MAD which is short for “Multimedia Arts Design Academy.” With only 4 days left of school MAD decided to do the senior graduation Friday night starting at 5 pm. I attended the ceremony with my friends Julia and Sam and sadly we were about 25 minutes late so we missed about half of the senior videos. From the videos I saw it was a beautiful and perfect way to end their 3 year experience here in MAD and to say thank you to all of their teachers and mentors that have helped them out along the way. After the graduation we had a showcase for the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior class projecting our works and projects in all different rooms around MAD to show our parents what we have been doing this whole entire year. It was so interesting to walk around and explore all the different works from the students and see their photography, adobe, and editing skills projected. As the school year has gone by I have realized that I am very lucky to be apart of a wonderful academy and thankful for all the amazing people I have met along the way. Cheers to two more years in MAD and congratulations to all the Seniors who graduated from MAD on Friday and who will be graduating from Santa Barbara High School this Thursday night. Good luck out their in the real world and thank you for being great mentors to us lower clansmen.
Good evening bloggers! Tonight was a big night for the Santa Barbara Dons Boys Varsity Volleyball team. They had their semi finals game against Foothill high school. Sadly this game was the last home game for the Dons win or no win so it was very important for the students of SBHS to come out a support. This season has been a great season and the boys seem to never disappoint the high school. Tonight the boys won and are now off the the CIF finals!! Super exciting! This year’s team consists of 9 seniors and each one of them seem to always bring their all to the games. Channing Peake, Ryan Worley, Joe Rafferty, and Tristan Fauntleroy seem to always bring their A game and surely did not disappoint tonight at the game. Tristan is known for his unbelievable smack downs and Joe is known for being speedy and always there in time of need. The images to the left are of the team after their win running through a tunnel formed by this years seniors apart of the “Scream Team.” The other photos is a photo of Carl Mendoza and Hart Pitcher, both seniors, front page of the Sports section for the Santa Barbara News Press. Good job tonight boys and now off to the CIF finals this Saturday in Orange County. Do SBHS proud!
Good morning bloggers! Hope everyone had a wonderful week and is ready for a beautiful weekend! Recently the MAD academy has moved into our new location on campus and we couldn’t be more happy and excited. Although we all do dearly miss the old location. The MAD Academy is new and improved thanks to all the families who helped out and made this possible! We are extremely grateful. Above is a few photos of the new location I snapped during class today. The main entrance is breath taking and so are my neighbors 😉 Within the new location we have many new upgrades. For instance the green room! It is big enough to pull cars into to film and is extremely spacious! Dan the Man is doing big things and has a bright future ahead of him with this new location! I’m extremely lucky and grateful that I am apart of the academy and the MAD family and wouldn’t ask to spend my high school years any other way 🙂
